The Fredericton Islamic Association

Founded in 1995, the Fredericton Islamic Association (FIA) represents Muslims living in the communities of Fredericton, New Maryland, Oromocto, Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Gagetown, Woodstock and surrounding areas including Muslim students from across the world attending the University of New Brunswick (UNB) and St. Thomas University (STU).

FIA Mandate

The mandate of the FIA is to fulfill and maintain the Islamic and cultural needs of its Muslim members. The FIA operates solely by funds provided by its membership. Your involvement and participation in FIA activities throughout the year are encouraged.

Membership Population

There are over 50 Muslim families in Fredericton and surrounding areas. There is also, on average, a transient population of about 300-400 Muslim students.
